Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing Event
March 13th 11am-4pm
Join us as we host space for a Meal Packing Event with Rise Against Hunger.
A Hands-on Impact on World Hunger
“Our meal packaging program engages volunteers for the assembly-line packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals made up of rice, soy, vegetables and 23 essential vitamins and minerals.
Established in 2005, the program was created to give volunteer groups — from schools, to communities of faith, to workplaces and civic clubs — the opportunity to make a direct impact AND to become educated, engaged advocates for ending hunger. Volunteers gain experience in leadership development, team building, creative problem solving and goal setting and achievement. Our meals are distributed to those in need around the globe, meeting immediate needs today while enabling communities to break the cycle of poverty.”
